HB Land grows national footprint adding to their Victorian portfolio

2 August 2021

Construction and sales activity is ramping up at a new boutique community in one of southeast Melbourne’s most sought-after locations, marking the first foray into the thriving Victorian property market by HB Land.

The 119-lot Carrington Officer community is the latest project by the real estate development company, which is also starting construction on a residential community in Queensland.

Carrington Officer by HB Land delivers a variety of living choices with lots ranging from 312sqm – 1,630sqm and a range of house and land packages available. Carrington is ideally located near key amenities in neighbouring Beaconsfield and Berwick.

Construction is due to begin late August and Stage 1 titles are due for completion in June.  Sales and marketing at Carrington Officer are being managed by leading property services group Oliver Hume.

HB Land Chief Executive Officer Michael Vinodolac said Carrington Officer was a significant first step for the company’s plans in Victoria.

“Getting shovels in the ground at Carrington Officer is always an exciting time at HB Land,” Mr Vinodolac said.

“Our vision is to provide a community where families have everything within reach: education, employment, leisure and lifestyle.

“Carrington Officer brings our Melbourne portfolio up to 5 projects. Our plan is to deliver a pipeline of new developments across the state and create incredible places for Victorians to live, work and raise a family.

“HB Land is fast-becoming a national company building outstanding residential projects across Australia with developments underway in Queensland and Victoria with more planned to launch soon.”

HB Land National Acquisitions Manager Tim Kelly said the enviable location of Carrington Officer was one of its most appealing aspects.

“Families can spend a lifetime at Carrington Officer because it’s close to early learning options, primary and secondary schools and tertiary education,” Mr Kelly said.

“Residents can be at Flinders Street Station in 60 minutes with Officer Station just a few minutes’ drive away.

“It’s also close to environmental conservation areas and creek reserves where families can escape and enjoy everything the Victorian nature has to offer.

“Carrington Officer delivers an inspired living experience for those who are looking for a new direction.”

Oliver Hume Chief Executive Officer Julian Coppini said Officer was one of southeast Melbourne’s most desirable locations.

“Demand for land is continuing to drive a buoyant market, especially in Melbourne’s southeast,” Mr Coppini said.

“Enquiry levels remain high and releases like Carrington Officer can help meet that strong market demand.

“More than 100 new lots entering the market presents an opportunity for those buyers looking to invest or live in one of Melbourne’s ever-expanding suburbs.

“Carrington Officer strikes a balance between offering top-tier house and land packages in a highly sought-after location. “

Oliver Hume General Manager Sev de Borzatti said Officer Carrington would appeal to a wide variety of buyers including investors, who had emerged as key players in the market in recent months.

“Investor activity is stable and continues to be at its highest level in the last two years,” Mr Borzatti said.

“The market is purchasing non-titled land, with only 10.82% of lots sold by Oliver Hume in June being titled at the time of purchase.

“Carrington Officer ticks a lot of the boxes buyers in the market are looking for right now.”
